Inductions?

Hey girls, i am being
induced two weeks. I was
induced with
my first so i know what
to expect. For those of
you who have had two or
more inductions was it
the same as the first time
and was there much
difference in the labour
times? I.d love to hear
back from you. I'm so
scared but excited! Lol

Hi Kasey,

I was induced for my last 2 babies and they were very much the same for me had to have 2 pessaries to get things goin and also a drip, pains were more intense than my normal births but i expected that due to having intervention.
Im like you even though ive done it now 4 times am a bit nervous as all births are very different no one is ever the same, hope all goes ok for you

hi,

they were much and such the same for me, as with first was given a sweep at 1pm on the sunday nothing much happened apart from dregs of plug and a bit of aching, then they gave me a pessary at 5pm at about 7pmish took me through and broke my water and omg it was like niagera falls as baby 1 and 2 i had hardly any water, they gave me a drip to help speed up contractions, finally had my little girl at 11.57 pm on Sunday night. The second i went in for a mw check only to be told my bp was 98/155 so had to stay in to be monitered as it was way too high, gave me tabs to bring it down but that didnt work so was given first pessary at 8.30 pm on Monday night it didnt do much other than make me crampy they gave me another at 2.30am that kicked in really quickly even though mw didnt believe me and i think it was around 6am that i had my second one, pain was much the same with both though no better or worse with either.
