Reduced fetal movement - - - WITH UPDATE!

Has anyone else experienced a major drop in fetal movement? I can't say that there's been NO movement whatsoever, but I've gone from, like, 25 movements per hour, to about 2 or three light ones.
Should I go to the hospital to get it checked out?

UPDATE:
I went to the hospital this afternoon and they hooked me up to a fetal monitor for about 20 minutes. The baby was, thank God, just fine. They said that the baby was lying extremely low down in my pelvis and was positioned in such a way that the flailing of the baby's legs wasn't reaching my uterus walls, which is why I wasn't feeling any kicks. They said that the baby was moving...and moving a TON. They said everything seemed incredibly good for my gestation and then sent me on my way.

I felt really silly, but they were SO nice and didn't make me feel guilty at all for having come to the hospital to check. They said "if you EVER get nervous again, just come back and we'll do this again.....EVEN if you have to come back tonight for reassurance!"

I thought that was very nice of them.

Everyone is differnt hun so dont panic. If there's a dramatic change they always advise getting it checked, just in case - there's usually nothing to worry about at all. There's less room in there now - you might find as the number of movements decreases, the force of them increases!

Thanks. I called the birthing unit and they said to come in for a quick check. I'm 95% sure that everything will be fine, but I have this nagging doubt because it's been two days already....

Let us know how it goes. Am sure LO is just having a lazy few days. Especially if you've been busy - when i am i tend not to notice as many movements then when i'm doing nothing
