travel?

My OH comes back from his overseas duty tour in january. I live in Virginia and his family lives in Louisiana and we're due to be in Texas. He's coming up here first but we don't have a car to get to Louisiana so we'll be taking the bus (which absolutely guts me as I won't be able to take my dog a teacup chihuahua with us I'll have to come get him after ladybug arrives) . I'll probably be anywhere from 32-34 weeks when we take this trip and I'm afraid that its going to be terrible especially with my excessive peeing! (TMI sorry) He's bought us a car but we can't pick it up til we're in Louisiana so the trip to texas won't be that bad but the trip from here to his families is gonna take about 23 hours. anybody else had a long trip to take that far along? Do you think theres anything I can do to make myself more comfortable?

Is there anyway you could get a train instead? Normally on those you'd have more room to walk around, go to the toilet etc. I think it's just sitting in the same position for hours which might make you feel uncomfortable and effect your circulation.

Poor doggy - won't know what's hit him when he finally gets reunited with you AND a lady bug!

Take a firm pillow or two for your back and feet. I would hate to be on a bus/coach for that long I agree with Kateqpr - a train would be better for you x

we would take a train but theres none around here we'd have to take a bus halfway there just to take a train the other half i looked into it after reading kate's answer i think im just gonna have to suck it up and take the bus and pick a schedule with loads of stops lol and of course try to sit in the very back that way im closer to the bathroom and i can stretch my legs out if i want

Is flying out of the question??

I don't envy you. I had to do a near 20 hour bus trip in Mexico a few years ago, with a strangers baby lying across my lap. Eventually i just got so tired i ended up sleeping anyway.

If you can't fly, take lots of music, snacks, drinks and extra pillow to try to create a snug little den...could you book yourself 2 seats so at least you can lie across them?

yea seats are really just on a first come first serve basis so me and OH could probably have the luck of getting seats pretty easily we did last time we made this trip via bus and nobody wants to upset the pregnant lady lol

Oh yes - make sure you wear the tightest top and look as sad and pregnant as possible. No one will dare ask you to move your feet when you've got them up and having a well earned snooze on a spare seat!!

I find tears work quite well too..
