didnt go to my GTT

i was meant to go for my glucose tolerance test today but i couldnt, i was up ALL night puking my guts up really bad, and all today to and i have dodgy tummy to

i feel so ill!!!! i tried to phone them but they dont bloody answer lol so ill prob get a letter sayin how rude i am to not turn up lol!! i havent eaten a thing at all since about 8pm last night, so iv been puking up stomach acid and every sip of drink iv had, iv managed to keep some sprite down for the last couple of hours so hoping things are gettin better now lol

horrible, i had this a few weeks ago and its not nice. Dont worry about the hospital they should have answered lol just ring them when your feeling better and make another appt. Get well soon xx

Could you try a different number for the hospital and get transferred through just to let them know why you couldn't make it?

theres never anyone at the pathology part that i needed to ring, its pathetic, i have midwife on tuesday anyway ill just explain to her and see what she says they may not bother sendin me for the GTT at this stage now anyway

Aww hun, hope you start to feel better soon! Sprite always helps settle my tummy too!

as for your GTT, I had one done today, and there was another girl there having one done at the same time - she got told off for having gone in as she was being sick all last night!! They said that not only could she have brought a bug into the ward, but also the GTT isn't accurate if you've been sick, so it was a waste of time. Plus the drink you have is so sickly, she couldn't keep it down!

So you probs did the best thing not going up! Just call your mw to let her know, she can sort it out with the ward you were meant to go to then.
