Problem at scan yesterday....

Hi girls,

Sorry to be posting this - I dont want to upset anyone, but really need to get this out as I'm driving myself mad with worry.

My little boy was stillborn in January, and they discovered that his growth had been severly restricted but they never knew why, so with this LO, I've been having growth scans every 2 weeks.

Yesterday, they have spotted that her growth has slowed down to the point where she has barely grown at all in 2 weeks. I have to go back to hospital this afternoon for a Doppler scan to see if there is a problem with the blood flow to the placenta & to have a second steroid injection ( i had the first one yesterday).

If they find that there is a problem, they could potentially keep me in and deliver her before the weekend. I'm so, so worried about her

xxxx

Hey sweetie - at least they're on it. You're baby is pretty much fully cooked now so she might be better off out here where her Mummy can really look after her. Try not to be too scared - sounds like you're being well looked after xx

hun and lots of vibes for you. They're monitoring the situation well and at least they've caught it this time. Your Lo is almost term too, so if she's born now them I'm sure everything will be ok.

Let us know how this afternoon goes. I'll be thinking of you

Hi I am sorry to hear of your loss.
they are keeping a good eye on you and at 36 weeks your little one should be fine even if they deliver now. My son was born 36 weeks by lmp or 35 weeks by scan with no steriods and was totally fine when he came out, he was 5 pounds 8 and came home with me the next day

good luck

sophie

I've got my fingers crossed for you. But like everyone else has said, at least they are monitoring you and LO closely and you will be full term by the weekend.

Let us know what they say this afternoon - will be thinking of you.
