Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome

Hey! Sorry havent been on for such a long time so much has been happening in my household i just havent found the time.

well quick update im expecting identical twin boys im 30weeks and originally had a c-section booked for friday 9th of january (i'll be 36weeks then) but after my regular fortnightly appointment yesterday they discovered i have Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome. The good news is im 30weeks and the smallest baby weigh's 2lb 5oz so stands a good chance if born now.
They let me go home as i have two young children under 3yr's who need their mummy... especially after my ex-partner walked out few months ago. I have to go to Radcliff Hospital in Oxford on monday for a more detailed scan and tests to find out just how bad it is. personnally i dont think it is that bad or they wouldnt have let me come home under any circumastances so finger's crossed they've catched it early and have ways to deal with it.
My consultant said i will end up having a c-section before xmas for deffinate as it is safer that way which can only mean they will probably be in hospital over xmas which i am not looking forward to! especially as oxford in about an hour or more away from my home so travel will be very hard with two babies as well as twins in the hospital so im trying to prepare myself for that part.

i was wondering if anyone here has been through the same or knows anyone who has just so i can see how things for them worked out - i know everybody and baby is different with different circumstances but it reasures me and helps me understand what could happen.

sorry to go blabbering on im such a fast typer and talker!

hope all is going well with u ladies and i wish u all the very best if any are due quite soon! xx

Oh babe...I'm sorry you have complications but as you say it doesn't sound as extreme as some cases I've heared about (not much consolation when it's your babies though I guess) I hope they're both ok.

i can't believe your partner has left you honey. I hope you have a helpful family and friend network. How old are your other 2?

Good luck sweetie...I hope it all works out for you
