35 week midwife appt...?

Hey ladies,

So, what's the gossip girls? What have i missed????

I have managed to get 5 minutes on the internet and what is the first site i visit.....??? B&B!!

ANyway, had my 35 week midwife appointment today at my house and she asked loads of questions and then said, ok lets do an antenatal. I always get worried when they say that and after a load of questions that i wasn;t expecting, she says....Theres no glucose or protein in your wee. The babies heartbeat is fine and she is measuring 37 weeks. BUT your blood pressure is up! NOT BLOODY SURPRISED!!! I coiuld feel i was nervous!!

ANyway, i told her that i get white coat syndrome and she said lets do it agin in a minute, it had lowered, but not much.

I have a monitor myself and as soon as she had gone, it had sunk back to normal!!!!

WTF!!!

She is obvioulsy scary!!!!

Anyway, got to have it checked again tomorrow at my diabetic appt and see if it has lowered, but now i will be worried and it will be high again!!

Oh well.. i hope you are all ok!!

UV, PP....any news??? Fossey, Carlyanne 15 hope you are ok and everyone else too!!!

Emma

My blood pressure goes up when i have to see MW too! I'm always worried about a surprise internal! Nice that yours comes to your house! I have barely seen the midwife assigned to my area - she's always on bloody holiday or off sick.

Glad your appointment went well. My Mum has the worst BP issue like that, hers skyrockets at the thought of having it taken. She bought a thing that clicks round the wrist to measure it so she can get used to taking it by herself.
