I am taking them and tbh I have found them quite helpful and they have been even more so for my OH. We do have a young-ish woman who is really lovely teaching us though. Just remember that millions of woman give birth every year in the world without having done antenatal classes, birth is such a natural thing and when it comes down to it, everything that has been learnt in antenatal classes will most probably go out the window and your natural instincts will take over! Do try to find out as much information as possible before hand though, because I believe what you don't know creates fear. You will do just fine without having done classes, your midwife and birthing partner will be there to support and guide you through to the end when you have your beautiful baby in your arms!

My hubby and I started taking them but I didn't find it useful at all. It was info I knew about. I did enjoy the tour of the labour ward but other than that found the information to be rather boring.

I'm not....
I've been reading up on it like mad though. And I'm lucky to have a lot of friends who have quite recently given birth. They keep throwing all their prenatal class info at me. I'm assuming you are giving birth at the hospital? If you were having a home birth, I'd recommend taking them.

Hi ladies thanx for responces and opinions. Penny, yeah its a hospital birth. Yeah its just ive heard more good than bad about them and its really put me off. Also one of my friends said when she went on the ward tour all she could hear was a lady in labour bringing down the house screaming and shouting saying she was going to die soon!!!!!!!!!! i know it wasnt her fault but still......i think something like that would scare me!!!
