Water infection

Saw the midwife this morning, looks like I have a water infection! However, she didn't give me anything for it, she just did the dipstick test then put it in a lab bag - does this mean I just need it confirmed by the lab before they give me antibiotics? I am starting to feel some bad stabbing pains, which I assume is the water infection but want to get rid of it asap!

Should have asked her but was so busy trying to forget about the needle in my arm!

If she said you had a Water infection she should of advised that she has sent off your urine to be tested and also poss given you some tablets!
Call your MW and find out whats the situation is!

I was in hospital last week due to a slight bleed! And that was due to a water infection which i didnt know about! I've anitbots and also i was advised earlier in my pregnancy to Drink plenty of Lemon and Barley!!! that does make a good Difference

Hope your ok, and feel better and dont have any more Stabbing Pains

Theyre not nice are they? Aww Yeah they should have given you anti biotics. My nan told me to drink loads of cranberry juice so I did! Not sure if it was the right stuff to drink for a UTI though lol.
Hope you get it sorted

Yep....apparently so, Cranberry juice and lots of water/fluid. I've had a UTI since Friday and just finished my antibiotics today but at the midwives today there was still blood in my urine and protein and white cells. She's sent it off and said she's phone in a couple of days with the results and let me know if I need more antibiotics etc
