hospital at 1pm today

hi all,
well after the drama of my midwife telling me im having a big baby last week (im petrified of the thought) she arranged for me to go have a growth scan today YAY. but no it cant just be that simple...the hospital called me the other day and this really bitchy woman was like we dont give scans out for nothing so come in on fri (today) at 1pm and we'll assess you and decide if you need a scan. grr!!!
surely they cant do much more then what my midwife does? as in feel baby, measure bump can they?? anyone been assessed before?
they better be nice to me coz im very fragile today as it is think due to lack of sleep/nightmares about giving birth to a toddler and just normal hormones at moment. if not there will be tears.

Unless you're measuring more than 4cms too big they won't scan you

my measurements keep changing but im always measuring big

I was lucky it was the day clinic at the hospital who sent me for my growth scan in the first place (fundal height measuring small). So not sure how they will assess you. I assume just the same things your MW did - but hopefully with less gasping at LOs size

i got to hospital today and the midwife was asking why i had been refered to day unit and discovered its coz scan department dont take requests through gps/midwives. they only take requests from within the hospital. so wasnt assessed or anything at all was sent straight to scan. was in tears all the way through scan then had to wait outside for result after. and the news is.....baby is measuring fine she was 5lb 7oz so i make that about 7 1/2 come due date? that right??? so no need for me to consider a c section. it then hit me that im gonig to do this, im going to give birth arrrggghh!!!!
