i dont smoke i totally hate it so i dnt know what its like, and my OH gave up a 25 per day habbit when i found out i was pregnant, so happy for him its been 5 months now hes not touched one, he says its the best thing he ever done plus he does not have to stand outside in the snow and rain to have a fag
his health is better and we have more spare cash for kids
saying that my mam and dad smoked when pregnant with me and all through growing up and i'm ok, i just could not do it

I do ... but i've cut down a lot, and tend not to smoke when i'm out, or if i've been out all day, i'll find somewhere that no-one can see me...shameful. I smoked with my first son, but Really cut down with him, my mum smoked with me and my nan with my mum. Quitting is such a hard thing to do, but if you can at least cut right down, it can make a lot of difference.

Speaking as someone who doesn't smoke, I do find it pretty shocking to see someone who is pregnant or has small children smoking. Especially as the risks to the baby and the kids are very well known now. I try not to be judgemental, because I know it is really really hard to quit, and those who are trying have my respect and full support.

I agree. I used to smoke and its ust the most horrible thing ever! I think the fact that someones mum smoked throughout pregnancies has noting to do with another persons pregnancy. All are different!

I agree also that those who try and give up i have full respect for, it's difficult, but hey, it's another life you are possibly buggering up!

I can understand why people give pregnant people nasty looks if they are smoking!!! I would!!!

I know some of you won't like my opinions, however, i didn't start the thread!!!
