growth chart?

Hi gals, went to midwife today and she measured my tum at 26cm, which on my growth chart is under the dark line of the two normal zone lines, so im not in the '' normal zone'' anymore....yet 2 weeks ago at a scan I had, she was measuring bigger if anything. Whats going on!!?

Probably just LO's growth spurts!! The scan will be more accurate tha a tape measure on your belly!!

Don't panic!

thats fine hun if its just below the dark line, baby is still normal its if its below the bottom line. the midwife would have said something if there was anything wrong with growth etc, try not to worry x

Do you have three lines on your chart? I do, so the top and bottom lines are the normal range and the middle line is the average. Anything within the top and bottom lines is fine and your MW won't worry about measurements outside them unless they are very far or consistently far. As Emsi says, babies often grow in spurts so you can be a bit bigger or smaller one week then the opposite the next. I think it's unlikely that 26cm would be worrying at 28 weeks. My normal line is lower than 1cm per week, today I measured 33cm and I am 36 weeks tomorrow, but I'm smack bang on the middle line.

If they don't find the very top of the pubic bone, the measurements are all out! Don't panic. If the midwife isn't worried, then you shouldn't be!!
