Hi, this is my second child, my first was 5 days early. I'm currently 37 weeks pregnant today and am sooo confused! I started having contractions every 20 mins from half 9 this morn for about an hr and a half then they faded out a bit. Then this evening they came back a bit more. I'm still having irregular contractions now (10:20pm) and am not sure if it's a long false labour or prelabour! My first was pretty straitforward, lost my mucous plug at 3pm started havin contractions every 20 mins from 4pm, time reduced n pain got stronger then had my son at 5:55pm the next day. This just seems so erratic compared, i thought i'd just "know" this time round!

Im expecting my first baby so im not sure what to expect.I would say contact your midwife or delivery suite at your hospital for advice.Good luck

I would, but as i've had dif pains before in this pregnancy, all they ever say is go to the hosp. But the hosp always send you home if you're not more than 3cm dilated. With my son my contractions were 3-5 mins appart n i was just dilated to 3cm. It's so annoying you get shoved back n forth like a yoyo!
