Nappies: reusables or disposables? - Page 3

I am a big fan of reusables. MOst of my friends have used them (bar one who thinks im mad) and with great sucess.

If cost is an issue (and lets face it it always is) seriously look at terry squares. I know they osund old fashioned but if folded right and with a good wrap (which you would need to buy anyway with tots bots etc) theya re just as effective as the shaped nappies. I also have a few tie on ones (disana is the brand) which are only about £2 each and are really good as you can fit them to the individual baby.

Oh, I also bought some off ebay which are no brand hand made ones. No idea if they will work but am going to give them a try. PM me if you want and ill find you the link.

JUst to say as well, EVEN with the washing of the nappies the environmental effect is drastically less than disposbles. Plus all the nappies I have bought (enough to last til potty training if the terrys work well) have only cost £45 inc 12 wraps.

I'm usign disposables in hospital then for the first week and giving bambino mios a try, think the trial pack is £10 and if i like them i'll buy the birth to potty pack. They are just sooo cute

and works out cheaper in the end i'm told
