| gosh i admire all you ladies who are still in the late stages of your pregnancies, am i the only woman who has completely lost her drive???
with regards to position, i'd say flat on your back as comfort may not seem important now but could well do later |

I'm Currently Feeling: | We're doing the t shaped thing too, that is most comfortable for me, but, also... frustrating! Because when it comes down to it, I just want him to go for it. My favourite position always has been and always will be with him on top... we did it that way this morning, when we haven't for a fortnight and while I loved every second of it, I could tell he was uncomfortable with the belly under him and he was trying to be careful.
I dont think we'll be able to do it that way again though, I felt bad for baby, he ended up turned almost sideways afterwards and I'd hate to somehow turn him all the way around and risk a breach!
Anyway.... sex = good .... so go for gold! | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | Ok so if you want bubs out now i'd say you're far enough along to give it a shot. From experience i know that sex will bring on labour - about an hour after we 'did it' with my second i was having contractions!! YAY!!
Spooning worked for me, but doggy will be deeper and therefore probably bring it on faster - just make sure you've got two or three pillows piled up underneath your bump to give it support other wise it can get quite uncomfortable.
GOOD LUCK!!! *hugs* |

This is why so many people feel uncomfortable or like they can't breathe on their backs. |

Honestly, my opinion is that if you were told not to for some reason by medical people, then I would give them a quick call first to make sure it is okay. I'm sure it will be as you are so far along now, but it couldn't hurt. Good luck, hope baby comes soon! | | | | Status: Offline

I totally agree!!!
Is there any evidence to say how many times you need to have in order to get things started?!!!
I had hoped the once would get things moving after not doing it for so long!.....but it did nothing! Any ideas???!!!! |

| I would think it could be as little as once. It is the sperm after all that gets things going, not the sex itself. Apparently there is some sort of similarity between sperm and what's in pitocin! | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | Yeah its the sperm thats supposed to get things moving, well that and the stimulation of the cervix. It might be that once 'was' enough but your body is just getting itself ready. And anyway, if you have to do it more than once then i say go for it! I've already informed hubby that when i reach full term, if theres no show of baby he's gonna have to take one for the team!!! |
