dont think katie's gona wait much longer!!

morning ladies!! (well afternoon, but i've only just got up!)

well as it says, i dont think katie wants to wait much longer. last night was in bed and she was wiggling away and all of a sudden i got this huge kick, i'm not jokin it was so sore and all thru my bump! my first thought was it was a contraction, but it was a one off, so must have been a kick. then today i woke up and went for a wee, and i could kinda feel her down there if u get me, as if she was like poking at my cervix. have got period pains now and my back's killing, which is quite unusual cos i've literally just got up, so it should be all rested and nice!!

for the past few days i've felt her moving about further down and stuff and i can feel that she's moved down. OH says my bump's dropped aswell!!

quite scared for if she comes soon!! has anyone else had anythin like this this early???

Hey honey! Last Saturday, I had horrendous period pains, starting with the lower back and spreading to thighs and then lower abdomen. Bubs made a huge maneuver, and then I had three Braxton-Hicks within about 20 minutes. I didn't ring the hospital- thought it best to wait for a bloody show. By Monday the pains had gone.

When I told my Obstetric surgeon about this at my appointment yesterday, she was not happy with me. She told me a bloody show is not a reliable way of telling that I am in labour. She said if I get the period pains again, especially if they start in my back again, to ring the hospital first and let them know I am going to go in for a quick diagnostic check. She said even if it is just false labour it is better to be safe and prepare. She also said stop worrying about 'bothering the staff' with false starts- they are used to it! So I will ring them if the pains return.

Thought you might like to know, in case you are in the same position.

It's all drama this late in the pregnancy, eh? x

Well apparently the baby can engage and disengage, i've also had cervical pain and period like pains, but this is what I was told... Especially at 34 weeks.

Better talk to your doc about it though if you are worried.

I have had period type pains and cramping for the past week or so, and an increase in Braxton Hicks, then in the middle of the week I had some browny bloody discharge (sorry TMI!) so I went to the day unit and they checked everything out - baby seems happy, but they said it was prob baby engaging. It had been breech until 31 weeks and now its head down. My bump has def dropped, and I just feel different! Fingers crossed they stay put for a bit longer... xxx

I've started to feel many more twinges"low down" if you get what I mean. I reckon it may just be bubs moving down and getting ready. Fingers crossed that your bubs decides to stay in cooking a little longer hun!
xx
