I'm Currently Feeling: | Peanut are you in the Leigh/Wigan area? I am and my MW said this happens a lot here as they are quite strict with the iron levels. If it goes below 10.5 or something like that they 'investigate'! |

| If you dont want to go on iron tablets then dont...unless your levels are stupidly low. Mine are 11.3 which apparently is low (although hardly at all!) and my doctor wanted to presecribe. My MW said that she wouldnt medicate until 10.5 and a homebirth wouldnt become an issue until 10.
Apricots, peas, weetabix (or other fortified cereal) and there is an iron rich water you can get from boots. Im sure it will be fine hun |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I never even thought about the home birth becoming an issue. That sucks! |

| Again it doesnt have to...its just an increased risk of hemoraging if you have a bleed. If you accept your diet hasnt been the best (and whose has!!!) just try really hard to fix it with that. Bit more planning with your meals should do the trick.
Im having my bloods retaken tommorrow after 2 weeks of trying to get my levels back up so Ill let you know how I get on.

xx | Just can't plan meals properly as I still can't stomach most things. I've started taking my vitamins again. I eat lots of wholegrains and fortified cereals so get iron there and I eat spinach quite often. It would all be a lot easier if I wasn't still so sick!
I hope your iron is at a good level now. Good luck! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Just went for my bloods. Should get results on Monday afternoon at the latest. Turns out my Hb was 10.5, so not very low. The doctor just wants them repeating to check and check some other iron stuff so probably nothing to worry about. I've had loads of spinach in 3 of the last 4 days and started taking pregnacare again. Fingers crossed I won't need the dreaded iron tablets! Glad it's not such a worry. And people keep telling me I look really well (god know who they are looking at!) so I can't be that pale and anaemic! |
