Polyhydramnios: Too Much Amniotic Fluid

Hi everyone

Has anyone else suffered from the above. I'm 33 weeks this friday and my midwife is measuring me up at 46 weeks. I have also been for a growth scan and I have too much amoniotic fluid around the baby, and I am back in tomorrow for a day of monitoring.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced or heard anything about it

This is the website that explains it all....easier for you to read it, then for me to ramble on Lol

Thanks in advance

I had the exactly the same thing although wasnt measuring THAT far ahead. Had a scan at 20 and 32weeks and there was far to much fluid, they booked me for a scan at 36weeks (which i had today) and said if fluid is still there and depending on the growth of baby they will want to get him out early. Although iv just been for my scan and my fluid is now back down and only a little over what they call normal so they are leaving it for now and im being rescanned at 38weeks. Not sure how or why the fluid has gone down.. But you never know this could happen with you. If not they might just want to get baby out early but probably wont discuss that with you this early.. They will just keep an eye on it with regular scans for now i think.
