freak out

Ok, im not stupid. I know im pregnant, I have a bump and LO kicks all the time plus ive had all my normal scans and a 4d one....

but it wasnt until I got the fantastic news this morning that my friend Ruth has just given birth to a happy and healthy baby boy (who they have called Charlie) that the penny has dropped.

I am having a baby, like an actual baby...not a pretend baby or a conceptual baby....arrrgghhhhh!

This may sound odd to those who have felt connected with their pregnancy since day one but I honestly think ive been living in a bit of a dream bubble until today and now it all feels so real!

Anyone else??

I know exactly how you feel, sometimes i cant believe the fact that im having a baby, othes it's as if im none the wiser!!

lol i so know what you mean!! my OH turned round last night after we'd been on our hospital tour, and said "we're having a baby!" i think it wont seem real til she's here!!

Its a life changing thing eh, of course we're going to freak out a bit sometimes

I'm with you there! I do get moments like 'omg,I'm having a baby' every now and then,when I look at the nursery or start packing my bag but I think the ultimate reality is gonna be once I'm actually in the hospital and hear the baby cry!

To me giving birth is still something that happens to other people,not me.

I have moments like that too. It just suddenly clicks that a living, breathing baby comes after this and I have a mini-meltdown and then forget. I'll probably have a nervous breakdown when I go into labour.

Ive been buying all this baby stuff for weeks and making it all look nice and then its like oh yeah it is actually for a real baby not just to look pretty! I havent held a baby for years and now I will have my own! Crazy! It makes me want to get the house perfectly clean but I havent got the energy!
