I'm Currently Feeling:  | Should I be offended?
Or am I being overly sensitive?
A friend of imine asked me today if I would like it if, as a present from her family, they painted our nursery "stone" colour. I thought it was a really nice thought, until she said that the reason she wanted to do it was that she doesn't like the colour it is now. WTF???
It is lilac at the moment, as it was this colour when we bought the house. We figured why decorate if it is freshly done? Lilac is a colour that can be made to be feminine or masculine. We thought that we would wait and see what we have (are on team yellow!!!) and that still gives us plenty of time to personalise the nursery once we know what sort of things LO likes. It won't even know for ages anyway, what colour room it's in!!
As I said, at first I thought it was a nice gesture, then I was just offended that she felt she had to decorate OUR nursery because SHE didn't like the colour of the walls!!! Am I over reacting???  |

I'm Currently Feeling:  | Hmm, personally once they'd said the reasoning was they didn't like how it is, I'd have told them to get stuffed... But that's just me, and I do have a habit of over-reacting... So I honestly don't know if you're over-reacting or not lol |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Maybe just me.....but id be super pissed  how dare she say that......ok nice thought but your supposed to do something for me....not for you (if that makes sense) My OH would be pretty pissed to, he hates people telling him how things in his house should be

I'm Currently Feeling: | It was when she said that they would paint it "stone colour" and not a colour of OUR choice that I got pissed off!! I wouldn't go round and decorate their house because it wasn't done in a colour I don't like!!! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Exatly it would have been nice if she said ok we'll paint it when baba arrives and you know if its a girl or boy and we're decorate it what you want and because you'll have your hands full we'll do it for you....
