At our hospital, you have to have attended one of the sessions prior to delivery in order to be able to request one. x

I had one with DS and told them when I turned up at the hospital in labour. The pool was free so it was all good, I think it depends on the hospital xxx

Some hospitals especially birthing centres, its done on a first come first serve basis, so if someone is already using it you cant. You have to prepare yourself for the fact that you might not get it if your blood pressure goes up or any complications arise. It is so worth it though, even if you just do early labour in it. Its fantastic

At our hospital you can decide when you get there, if they feel that you have had a good pregnancy.

Usually luck of the draw. Our hospital has only has one. You need to mention it as soon as you go in and put it in your birth plan. I didn't give birth in the pool got out at the last minute and delivered on the bed. For me though it was great for pain relief.

I was advised to let the hospital know when I first called to tell them I was in labour, that way the wouldnt offer it out to anyone else, unless another patient specifically asked. I really reccomend it btw, I couldnt actually give birth in the pool, because kyle went poo poo in mummy!, but I was in there for a few hours during my labour and it worked wonders for me xx
