Hi ya ladies,

I found out the other day I have strep b in my urine aswel as in the private areas. As if having strep b isn't scary enough I carry the bacteria in two places. I'm on antibiotics for it as the one in the urine has to be treated straight away. I've been living on antibiotics this pregnancy. Anyone else feel my pain?

I'll find out next week so I'll let you know. I bet I will have as I regularly have to have anti biotics for bacterial imbalances down there.

I have it. They haven't started me on anything yet though. I feel your pain though I have had gallstones this whole pregnancy and it has bummed me out the whole time.

Strep B is actually commen. The best way to get rid of it (I learned this from my midwife) is to eat ALLOT of yougart (sp?). Activia is the best if you can get it because of it's pro and pre biotics. I ate allot of it before my test with my son and my test came out negitive which I was excited about. Most people have it and never know it.

hey, i have it too but not in my urine, atleast you have found out early , some people dont have the tests done, so keep thinking that atleast you have found out and doing the best you can for your baby xx

I have it, though not in my urine, I don't need any antibiotics until I go in to give birth. As long as you get to the hospital with enough time when your in labor it's not a big deal. When you go into the hospital when your in active labor they give you 2 doses of penicillin for the baby.
