Anyone else find the skin on their belly is numb? The skin on the whole right side and a little into the left side of my belly is numb. Like when you go to the dentist for a filling and your face is numb and if you touch it it feels all weird?

I told my mom this and she said it wasn't normal. I just figured it was from all the stretch marks and stuff and tight skin. Anyone else have this or am I just abnormal? I don't see my midwife until the 19th but I'm going to ask her about it. I just thought I'd see if anyone else had the same thing.

It sure feels funny when I get an itch and have to scratch my belly! Like I can't feel it but I know I'm scratching, weird!

I had this during my pregnancy, especially at the end when my bump was sooo huge!
I would say it is normal, and nothing to worry about...

I've got this, in a patch just above my belly button, and it's the wierdest feeling. There's been some previous threads on this, and several others had experienced the same symptom.
I also asked my midwife and she said it's nothing to worry about, happens often, although they're not sure exactly why. I guess it may be something to do with the baby laying over some nerve endings or something.
