I'm Currently Feeling: | Help??! ok this may be daft but i'm going crazy at the mo..
LO is sitting footling breach but the last day or so the baby has dropped and i'm not sure if my waters have broken or not.. would have thought if it was there would be lots since it's feet first.. but there doesn't feel like there's much fluid - feels like a rock solid lump all below my belly button..
I'm 35 weeks (possiblly more) and am worried i go in to labour with the baby feet first... been getting period like pains but very wide apart ( 2 in teh last 3 hours)
Has any one every gone had an awkward footling? Is there anyway of checking yourself to see if your dilated - or should i phone the hospital?
It's my first and i don't want to turn into a paranoid person that phone the hosp every couple of days for the last few weeks when there's nothing wrong :S | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | Ok first thing if you think your waters have gone, you defo need to ring the hospital. Second if your baby is in breech and your having contractions you need to ring hospital again as you dont want to go into labour with a breech baby, third if you think your having contractions or waters have broke you defo need to ring the hospital seeing as your only 35 weeks(ps. why do you say maybe more?? you should know your due date )
so to answer all ring the hospital XxxX |

hadn't had periods for 2 yrs prior to falling preg and baby wouldn't stay still at early scan so they could take accurate measurement... this LO has been a troublemaker from teh start!
don't want to waste the MW time phoning out of hours... but i guess they get lots of false alarms..
will poke OH and go phone the hosp see what they say

I'm Currently Feeling: | If you are worried hun then defo ring the hospital or your midwife, most of them make you feel like a paranoid first timer anyway so dont worry too much about it. If your waters have or even might have broken then you need to have theat checked, although it doesnt normally stop if they have. Do you know where your placenta is as this can act like a plug. If your baby is in breach then it is even more of a reason to just get everything checked and your midwife should be supportive of this xxxx |

I'm Currently Feeling: | What makes you think your waters have gone?? Have you had a gush or leaking?? When they go you really do know about it!! I was drenched first time and even when they were leaking it was more than I could wee!!
I know I feel like there isnt much fluid in there at times - when she moves now its almost painful.
Give labour ward a ring for some advice but I wouldnt panic just yet

I'm Currently Feeling: | I was told that a few dribbles/leaking is nothing to really worry about at this point in the pregnancy. However, if you think your going into labour it is best to go to the hospital and see if you have dilated at all.
They will also monitor your contractions and fetal heart rate and will check to see if the baby is still breech.
Contractions without the mucous plug going or your cervix dilating are just braxton hicks basically... As the uterus is a muscle and practices for real labour. |

| Just wanted to say I hope that you're OK and got in touch with the hospital, 35 weeks is early to go into labour and even more of a concern if baby is breech, best to go to the hospital and be checked over. Good Luck. |
