EMA!! NOT A FAILURE!!!!
and as for that midwife that told you to grin a bear it, get another opinion, how they expect you to cope with contractions for the next 2+ weeks is beyond me. They can't leave you in pain for that length of time, I'd get a complaint in about her!!

I really really want this to happen soon for both of us!!!

laboury dust!

Apparently they can. I asked me SIL whose a midwife and she said they pains are bareable and just like bad period pains with nippy bits in them. So just to take it easy and ride it out. Just keep lying down every couple of hours. Not sleeping but dosing between them.....hoping to sleep but illl get about 20 mins then get a very nippy one that wakes me in shock then goes and im left awake then lol. Oh the JOYS!!!

Hopefully you will go soon. I wouldnt want anyone else going through this XxxX

Aww Em!!!

Dont feel like you're failing - your body's done such a good job up to now he's just very settled in there!!! Far from failure!!

It's shit but you just have to keep doing what you have - keep moving when you can, bounce and rock on your ball, maybe have the old fashioned curry, hot bath and if you're not too tired. Take the dogs out maybe. The midwife told us last week that when your have adrenalin flowing in your body, it can counter act the 'labour' hormones and stop things i.e. when you get cross or panicy. Women are at home relaxing and the 'labour' hormones flow then they get all worked up on the way to the hospital and it stops. They get home and are angry and frustrated and so the cycle continues. So you need to try to keep calm and relaxed and mobile as much as you can to get the good hormones flowing.

I know it feels like its never gonna end but the end really IS in sight now. Ann-Marie ground to a stand still too then things got going again.

If you're still here at 40 weeks with contractions, ask for a sweep.

Your body obviously isn't ready to let go of Jacob yet. It's still cooking him
