That is disgraceful!

If you work in the care sector there is no excuse for such behaviour, and it shouldn't be excused by their managers or justified in any shape or form. It greatly annoys me that these people are treating vulnerable people who rely on them to be professional, your complaint should have been taken more seriously.

Can you pursue the complaint further, perhaps there is someone above the lady who visited that you can refer to?

Sorry you had that horrible experience, and well done for complaining in the first place, many wouldn't!

Glad you managed to get your point across, but it's not on for them to be making excues for her behaviour. As you said, she shouldn't have been at work if she wasn't in the right frame of mind. Make sure you do get that written confirmation hun, and I hope they feed back to you regarding that co-ordinator woman too.
Hopefully you never have to deal with such poor treatment again.
xx

That seems like such an excuse. If the woman's mother had died, why was she at work? I am glad you stood your ground. It seems like this is happening way too often!

It sounds like you got your point across and that the "manager" indeed wasn't prepared as a manager should be. It's sad that the midwife lost her mother recently but that is no excuse for her treatment of you, she should not have been working if her personal emotions were distracting her from carrying out her job professionally and sensitively.

Lets hope that your complaint will be taken seriously and into consideration so that no one else gets the same kind of treatment you received.
