Expect a fun time
I really liked mine. My first day was an 8 hour class, but we watched some videos of different scenarios that might happen. We talked about breathing and massage, and practiced it. I am having a hard time remembering at the moment lol, but I did learn a lot.

Not sure what you can expect as different places do things differently. Mine are about an hour and a half long and run 1 per week for 4 or 5 weeks. We have had one session on breastfeeding / becoming a Dad (the men went off for their bit) and one on 'What to expect after you take baby home'. They do it on a rolling program so we came in at class 4 I think.

i had mine on monday and i loved it! we all went in and sat in a big circle and introduced ourselves and said what we were having! there was only 1 person having a boy, it was all girls and suprises! They then went on bout signs of labour, what you'll need in hosp, showed you diagrams of babies coming out etc. they gave us a dead cool little flip chart thing with all the different sizes for dilation and what you'd see baby's head wise thru them. OH pointed out that the 10 cm dilation was the size of his fist. naughty boy lol.

then someone came in and gave a 5 min thing on child care, which was pointless! went thru a bit of massage and relaxation and then they sent the men off into a room and they asked manly questions whilst we asked girly quiestions!!

i loveed it!!

It sounds like it varies from place to place! I had my first one last week and we sat and listened to the midwife for about an hour talking about what to take in to hospital and pain relief! it was very informal and relaxing. tonight were watching the videos of different births!!!
