blood tests at 28 weeks?

my midwife said when i see her again she'll need to send me to have some more bloods done as ill be around 28 weeks... what are these ones for? xxx

Full blood count isnt it? Thats what Ive gotta go for soon. I hate blood tests. Got one 2moro too. Boo hoooo lol

Same here! I find that midwives are crap at doin blood tests but the proper phlebotomists (spelling?) can always do it right. xxx

i thought that was it once they done my blood last time! all relieved and now i got it all again xxx

It's to check your iron levels, your blood group again etc

They screen you for anti-bodies, check your iron levels to ensure you're not anemic and your platelets etc..... Nothing to worry about (unless of course you don't like needles!) Unless you're found to be anemic they should be the last ones.

i hate them!!! with my last ones she stabbed both arms a few times and still got nothing so i had to go back it was a few weeks until i got the courage! xxx

That was my first ever blood test I had when I was 6weeks,I was crappin em.

And another at 28 weeks. I didn't know what it was for either Katie. But I just want it over with, lol.
