No hon, I don't believe you can. You can go the the chemist and get the pesseries and cream. Also when I had it, a few people told me to apply natural yogurt to the outside of my ladies bits, seems there is something in it that helps to stop the irritation x x

hun when I went to the doctors she did the test for trush and instead of waiting for the results she gave me a prescription it was the cream in a dispenser thingy kind of like a tampon, but I didnt have a tablet with needless to say when the results came back I didnt have it but I was glad she gave it to me anyways.

a handy tip I used to get it alot right before my period and I was told that after you get out of the shower get your hairdryer and set it to cold and blowdry your bits less harmful then drying with a towel and it really did stem the infection for me

I had thrush whilst pregnant, i was prescribed 4 pessaries in succession. I left it rather long before getting it sorted as i hadn't had thrush before!

Go see your DR he will sort you out

The way your Dr or Midwife will test if you've got thrush or not is to take a swab, the same as having a smear test, it might feel uncomfortable but it doesn't hurt. I was also prescribed the pessarie, the tablet version but I found it almost impossible, it was just too sore down there so I went back and asked for the cream, as far as I'm aware there are two different types of creams, one which is OK to insert internally and the other is just for the outer lady bits.

Get it sorted asap though, don't leave it like I did, it can get very uncomfortable.

I've just got thrush for the 1st time whilst pregnant (and hopefully the only time!) although I have had it before. Knowing that I won't be able to get to the doc tomorrow, I went and asked the pharmacist for advice. She said you can use the combi pessary and cream, but not the tablets during pregnancy. Hope it clears up for you soon hun! (and me too! lol)
xx
