It all went well (apart from over an hour wait) but I still feel very confused over what to do.
Basically the options are natural delivery or c-section. They said an induction would not be suitable in this case and would be unlikly to help.

So the process form here, is for my consultant to get as much information as possible and then he can advise me, but the decision is ultimatly mine. I have to see an anetheatist, for them to asses whether they are prepared to do a spinal block or epi for a c-section or if they will only do it under general anesthetic due to my medical history (apparently they normally do a spinal block which is less likely to cause the spinal headache I had last time, so this would be good news) I also have to see a physiotherapist, and have an orthopedic review, so they can asses my tailbone problems and hips etc, all this information will be given back to my consultant who I have an appointment to see on the 16th April (37weeks) along with a growth scan and going on all the information we will them make a decision. If Igo for a section it will be at 39 weeks generally (although this means I will be in hospital for my birthday )

So at the moment its wait and see, and hopefully I will get to see all the specialists as the consultant said it had been left a bit late to try to get appointments in with them all in time, if not we will have to decide without some of the info.

So ho-hum will hopefully have some definate answers after that appointment. In the mean time I have been given info on c sections to read in the mean time.

If their is anyone out there who had had an elective section, who can talk me though their whole experience and hospital stay, recovery etc it whould be a great help, especially those who had to cope with looking after another todler at the same time!

I feel so much better about stuff now. I have had feed back from some other mums, one of which had the same tailbone problem as me after the birth, and she had 3 sessions with an osteopath and it completly cured the problem! see I was just signed off with painkillers for 6 months told 'it will sort itself' plus I have been looking at more effective labour positions etc, so I feel I want to try the natural route, knowing thats this time if I do the damage again this time I will not be left to deal with it myself! As Iwill be seeing an osteopath before Ieven give birth Iwil sort something out so I can be transfered to their care straight away this time should the need arise.

But also I feel a lot more reasured about sections should things not work out and I need to go that route.

I had an elective section at 39 weeks with Charlie because of my SPD.

It worked like this:
Appointment at 3pm on Wednesday afternoon to check BP, baby position, and to make sure I understood everything.
Had to be back at hospital for 8am on the Thursday morning
Section booked for 9am
Midwife came and gave me gown to get in, then shaved where they would be cutting (I couldn't do it as couldn't see!!)
8.50am porter came to take me to theatre
Hubbie was whisked off to get into scrubs
They put spinal in (took a while, but she was a student)
Hubbie was brought back in once spinal has worked
Curtain up, and away they went!
Charlie was born at 10.26am (long delay was because initaily she couldn't get the spinal in, then they couldn't get Charlie out, it doesn't normally take that long)
They stitched me up then wheeled me through to recovery for a proper cuddle with Charlie
Back up to ward for 12.30pm
Confined to bed for 24 hours
Catheta removed 8am Friday morning
Had a shower and felt human again!!!!
Went home Saturday lunchtime

I personally feel they let me out too early, and given the option again, I would stay in another day or two. I really struggled with the pain once my milk came in. I didn't know which was worse - the wound, or my boobs!!!!
