So pissed off

Still no baby.

I have been having pains for a week and have been having contractions (if you can call them that) every ten mins for 2 days. They are getting stronger but are not getting closer together. When im not having one ive still got horrendous backache and cramps in front that are unexplainable.
Midwife that I saw on Tues night said she expected me to have Lucy that night as I was 'well under way' but no.
Called hosp today and the stupid cow I spoke to said there was no point me coming in because the contractions arent close enough together. They are friggin killing now, I cant sit down, stand up or sleep and am fast running out of energy. I asked mw if I could go in just to see if im dilating any more but she said no, just to have a bath and go for a walk. She knows the family history and how my mum took a few days to get to 5cm then just 20mins from 5 - 10 so I can see myself having this baby at home. I am fuming. I cant force them to see me but what else can I do?

Oh hon, I really don't know what to say or suggest, but I do hope it wont be too long for you now.

If there is any possible way for you to get comfy then do try and save your energy.

Ring them back, tell them how worried you are and that your finding it hard to cope with the pain.
Failing that, just go down, they'll have to something once your there, they cant just send you home without checking you over.

aww hun

how close together are the contractions.

mabey lie a lil bit and say they are coming more frequent then at least they will see you. i think its horrible the way they are treating you

but mabey try a warm bubble bath as well and just relax. have you got a birthing ball or anything. and i was watching the baby channel and the lady on there said squatting can bring labour on quicker. not very comfertble i know but its worth a try

I was trying to say to her how bad its getting now but all she kept saying was I was too tense and to have a bath. Ive had about 10 baths over the last few days

I want to go down there but Im so furious that I would prob end up getting kicked out! lol To be honest I know there are only ever 2 midwives on as its only a small hospital so if there was a chance that bitch would be delivering my baby I think I would rather stay at home

Maybe go out and then you have to go to a different hospital? Ok no.. i really hope that everything gets better for you and your little girl hurries up, will be worth it very soon

ring mw again but talk to someone different ,some are nasty, or even just go up there then they would have to see you ,

They are about every ten mins but its the pain in between thats worse because its constant so its harder to breath through it. Ive tried walking, having a bath, drinking raspberry leaf tea and bouncing on a ball but nothing is working and is just making me really uncomfortable and irritable.

I wanted to lie to them a bit but she said they need to be coming every 4 mins before I even consider going back in and I couldnt lie that much, im a useless liar!

She also said they cant do more than 3 internals in a 7 day period because of the risk of infection - ive never heard such bollocks in all my life! I could tell they were busy because she kept asking if I could hold for a sec and it sounded busy in the background but theres no need to ignore what im saying!

Do you know what time they do the change over? could be 6 o'clock if your lucky, lol.

If i was you, id put my feet up for a bit, try to eat something and try to relax, if its no better in an hour or 2, ring them back and demand pain relief, lol.
