I cant slow down!

I just need to vent a little.

Everyone keeps tellings me to slow down. My mum, my friends, my partner, my colleagues, my boss... my body... but I feel so agitated if I'm not busy.

Its a weird feeling, because I've never had this problem before. I'm normally the kind of person who avoids effort like the plague. My favourite things used to be sleeping in and watching tv. Now I cant make myself stay in bed and rest, even when I'm sick, which I've been quite badly for a fortnight now and I'm not getting any better... and... I'm still not resting.

Today, my day I allocated to rest, whether I want to or not, I've done three loads of washing, changed the sheets on the bed, generally tidied up the house and... errr... rearranged the furniture in the nursery because it annoyed me that it's practically a store room with a cot thrown in it... and now I'm coughing up a lung and have chest pains from exerting mysellf....

And yet... I still feel soooo anxious just doing nothing...

Am I just going crazy, or is this a 'normal' part of the wonderful process into motherhood?

I've still got 10 weeks to go, so I'm still pretty fit and able bodied. I'm looking forward to going part time with work as of next week and a little worried about what I'm going to do with my time... I'll have 4-5 days off a week rather than just 2... image the rearranging I can do in that time!!!

I'm starting to have trouble sleeping as well, not through discomfort or any physical reasons, its my mind wont switch off... I cant stop thinking about things I need to do, or haven't done, or could be doing... at 4am... its sort of annoying!
