Hi all,
Well went to see the consultant today following my growth scan on Monday. Good news is that all bloods have come back fine, GTT was normal, BP still perfect, bubs is head down with strong heartbeat of 145.
My thyroid function is low, but this was thought to be a pre-exisiting condition before I fell pregnant, and as everything else is fine, they agreed to test again in 4 weeks to see how it is then, before putting me on medication. It won't affect bubs, just makes me prone to greater weight gain and tiredness. (Lucky me!)
Anyway, I feel fine, and consultant was pleased. He said that the swelling in my feet was normal pregnancy oedema, and should disappear soon after birth, and that baby and I both seemed very healthy.
He said that although bubs is large, it doesn't neccesarily mean that he/she will continue to have such rapid growth, and he does not feel that I will have any problems birthing naturally.

I was so happy, as I was dreading that they would make me have a c-section. He said that they would only consider this in an emergency, and that they would monitor growth, and only look at induction if baby reaches
10lb!!!!! He seems to think that I can carry and deliver a baby of this size with no forseeable problems. I said I'll have a bloody good go!!

So having another growth scan in 4 weeks, and will see how much bubs has grown by then. They reckon he/she's approx 4lb 5 oz now (30 weeks), so cmon ladies, how much do you think he/she will weigh at next scan? (34 weeks)
