Unhappy

37 weeks today - Good & Bad news

Well good news first - went to midwife yesterday for check up and lil Finlay is engaged fully and samples, blood pressure etc.. all good nothin abnormal detected

So go to ASDA to get last few bits, more nighties, big nicks for hos etc... and then come home to pick up the dog and head off in car to mums to pick up rest of nursey stuff my mum got me. Anyways get to the end of my road look right look left turm right into main road and a car came out of nowhere and has hit me head on - needless to say am in total shock gets out of the car and just stand there in middle of the road shaking and crying - luckily neighbour turns up and takes control - finally remember dog still in the car (bless her) get her out and manage to get home round corner. The lady driving the other car was ok and tbh was more concerned about me - all I could say was I hope the baby is ok. Anyways rang oh who came home straight away and took me to hospital. I was a mess still cryin and blood pressure through the roof - hadnt felt baby since accident - but as soon as they put moniter on and I heard the heartbeat I was fine and when I calmed down baby started moving

Anyways my car is probably a write off, but tbh as long as no one is hurt am not bothered. Its just really knocked me for six and as some of you will know I lost my first baby at 7 month old to meningitis in 2004 and all I could think was I cant go through this again - but he is fine and i spose have just got to look on the bright side that everyone is ok. The midwife said baby is more protected than me, spose it'll be somethin to tell him when he is older.

Sorry for ramblin just wanted to let you know about my traumatic tuesday xxx
