I'm Currently Feeling: | Hope all goes well hun. Try not to worry too much about the size. My bubs is estimated to weigh 4lb 5oz already, and that was at 29+4!! Consultant said that growth often goes in spurts, so it could slow up over the next few weeks, and the 1/2 lb a week thing is only really for last 6 weeks or so. The main thing is that they are keeping a close eye on you.

I'm Currently Feeling: | Thankyou for sharing, we had a similar problem at the 20 week scan, and have to go for another at 32 weeks. The consultant said if his kidneys are still dilated then they probably wont scan again, just wait until he's born and then ultra sound his kidneys when he is six weeks. I'm hoping things will have sorted themselves out by then, but it's encouraging to know there are other people in the same situation. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hiya, just thought I'd lend an ear. My little girl (shes 11 months old) has kidney reflux and will need to be on antibiotics for a few years. I'm not saying thats what your baby has but my little girl is really healthy
Good luck |

| Thanks girls. I doubt its going to be gone by 36weeks or by the time he is born, I know he is going to have to go on anti biotics when he is born but not sure for how long. Aslong as everything else is ok then im happy.
I hope everything turns out ok for you Ria_Rose at your 32week scan. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Thankyou
Fingers crossed for you that it might imrove before he's born.
The MW said it was pretty common (esp in boys) but I'd never heard of it before, so as I said it's nice to know other people who have similar experiences.
The consultant was a bit vague about what exactly would need to be done if his kidneys still weren't right, but I guess it all depends on what the problem is and if there is still a problem by then. |
