exscuse the title couldnt think how to word it!

Basically im trying to ask whats the best thing to do on a birthing ball to get baby's head down, are you meant to bounce ? rock forward and backwards ? do circles ? or a combination ?

iv been using my ball for a couple of weeks but not sure whats the most effective motion

Glad you asked that question Lauz! I bought a ball at the weekend and haven't been quite sure what to do on it, even though we had a demonstration from the physio at our ante natal the other week (brain is fried, have no memory!) Just generally have a bounce, a rock back and forwards and side to side and the rest of the time I sit on the settee and put my feet up on the ball instead

Have found I have had a bit of lower back ache since I started using it though, which isn't a good thing.....?

It is really important to make sure you have enough air in your ball and that it is nice and firm. You can do a number of exercises but like one of the ladies said just sitting on the ball helps to strengthen your abs.
