He's started taking a lot more interest lately... By that I mean - It took me 5 months but I eventually got him to sit down and pick out names with me! Hurrahhhh!
If she comes out with an Xbox controller, the two of em will get on like a house on fire. lol.
Nah I'm sure he'll be fab once she's born... He has some very butch friends and two of them sat him down at a BBQ we were at the other night, one said 'I cried when both my girls were born, both times', the other said 'I couldn't be in the room cuz I was ILL, but as soon as I heard a baby cry I was in there and the baby was put in my arms, and I will openly admit, hand on my heart, I cried like a big effing girl!' - he even imitated the crying he did.
I think that helped my OH to be honest cuz he hadn't heard it from a bloke before, just me and his Mam. | My OH was the same! He cried when our daughter was born! They're such softys really arn't they! x |

Saying that though, since we had our 4D Scan he has become really interested in her, he is buying her cute clothes and little toys without being told to! He still isn't co-operating in the constant baby talk and hates being dragged round baby shops but that's just a man thing!!
Just you wait til your LO is here, you will both be fighting over who gets to hold/feed/burp her! You'll see!!
Oooo codiontour we are due the same day! | Might be a scot's thing lol.
Stuart just wants me to "spit her out already". | "Spit her out already" |

| MY OH is ok sometimes but sometimes he doesn't seem interested!
Like I had a baby magazine and read it right infront of him but he didn't seem to want to read any of it!!
Also he has come to all scans etc but not to docs apps but I haven't expected him too as it's only too check BP etc and if anything was wrong he'd be home from work in a shot. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | My hubby was a bit like this when i was pregnant. He told me that it didn't feel real for him. I was experience a lot of things he wasn't. That all changed when Rocco arrived. He has been amazing and i'm sure your hubby will be too. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | [quote=codiontour;720689]i just feel like he is so uninterested in the baby. he is a great husband, it is just as if he is not excited and doesn't want to do anything related to the baby or really ever talk about her. he never brings her into conversation, only me. he doesn't really feel my belly unless i put his hand on and say shes kicking. he never wants to look at baby things in stores, hates shopping for her and has not bought anything for her on his own. QUOTE]
Sounds exactly like my OH and this is his 3rd child!! I keep thinking its because this is his third girl and we wanted a boy but i dont really know. It makes me feel quite alone in the pregnancy |
