| i think its a man thing my OH isnt excited about the baby and hes due in 3 weeks 5 days he actualy compared it to a holiday and said i dont get excited till the day! Believe me i could of punched him but i probably did give him a slap lol
He doesnt seem interested in looking at baby clothes or anything and has only bought 2 things which i told him we needed which were travel cot and bouncer chair.
im a nervous wrek and hes still really calm about it all and i have to tell him to rub my bump!
But i no when the day comes i will be looking after him aswel as givin birth cuz he will be the nervous wrek in the corner lol |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I don't think he means to be, you'll find it's cos it's not "real" for men until baby's here. My OH is excited about having another baby but I have to make him feel my bump etc at times but I tell you whats changed him and that was the 4D scan we've just had. We were watching the DVD and he suddenly said "oh bless him, I can't wait for him to be here now". That is the FIRST time I've seen any proper emotion from him over this baby! He's taken the pics into work and everything now showing them off! x |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Yep, have to say, I had the saaaame argument with mine not long ago, but then I resided myself to believing, its not real to him, just a bump to him where as I know its a baby...
He's started taking a lot more interest lately... By that I mean - It took me 5 months but I eventually got him to sit down and pick out names with me! Hurrahhhh!
If she comes out with an Xbox controller, the two of em will get on like a house on fire. lol.
Nah I'm sure he'll be fab once she's born... He has some very butch friends and two of them sat him down at a BBQ we were at the other night, one said 'I cried when both my girls were born, both times', the other said 'I couldn't be in the room cuz I was ILL, but as soon as I heard a baby cry I was in there and the baby was put in my arms, and I will openly admit, hand on my heart, I cried like a big effing girl!' - he even imitated the crying he did.
I think that helped my OH to be honest cuz he hadn't heard it from a bloke before, just me and his Mam. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | ah my hubby is the same has been to all the scans a couple of midwife app's and thats it, I keep asking him to talk to bump and he refuses he only touches my belly when i get hold of his hand only goes shopping for baby things if he has to and we have just had a bit of a disagreement over xmas and she hasnt even arrived yet. He has said he might be on call over christmas and he has been on call on xmas day and new years eve for the last 2 years so I have said its unfair if they do it again especially when you will have a new born his reply was yeh but its not as if she is going to be doing much aaaaarrrrrrggggghhh. It will be our first christmas as a family thats what the point is I know he is going to fall madly inlove with out lo I just wish he would start to show it now. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | My OH and I were splitting up a couple of months ago because of the exact same thing, I felt like he didn't want anything to do with her and it was all me.
Saying that though, since we had our 4D Scan he has become really interested in her, he is buying her cute clothes and little toys without being told to! He still isn't co-operating in the constant baby talk and hates being dragged round baby shops but that's just a man thing!!
Just you wait til your LO is here, you will both be fighting over who gets to hold/feed/burp her! You'll see!!
Oooo codiontour we are due the same day! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | My OH is the same not as bad this time as he was with my first though. His not really arsed about naming her his not been bothered about shopping for anything he cringes when my belly moves he dont like to talk about it. His been there at all the appointments and has been over protective though. He didnt really bond that well with my son at first but once he started smiling and cooing he fell in love his never been a hands on dad but his got better as Benns got older. I think he'll deal with it better this time i hope. |
