I'm Currently Feeling:  |  I'm home with my baby girl!
Hi everyone...well after the updates were going so well I kind of dropped of the face of the earth eh?
Went into hospital Monday pm to be induced and had our little Baby Potter at 14.48 on 14.08.08, weighing 7lb 9oz (3.44kg), 20.5 inches (52cm) long.
This meant she arrived on the day of my first scheduled induction and just shows it is best to wait for some things. Birth was done with pethidine at beginning when Synthitocin drip was used to increase contractions and then gas and air....foolishly let myself be talked out of the epidural as seemed to be coping!
I'll come back on later and update with birth story and photos...she is truly spectacular...a little bit of me and a whole lot of her daddy! We are over the moon.
Thanks for all the well-wishes whilst I was in there, and all the labour dust...it really helps! And sorry nobody got so much as a text..my phone battery unfortunately got emptied with my prolonged stay and the fact phone had to stand in as camera at end of labour as real camera batteries dead! Bit of a technically logistical nightmare but pleased to say not my fault for a change...I was busy!  |
