| When should our boobs leak? I haven't posted in ages- so hi to you all again-Can't believe we are in the 3rd Tri
Just have a question- I was talking to someone who asked if my boobies had started leaking yet- they haven't, when I said this, she commented that I may not be able to breastfeed then.
Am I right to worry?? Does successful breastfeeding happen only if your producing milk/colustrium now?Have all your breasts been leaking yet? Mine have gone from a C cup to and F and i've had some pain in the nipples (TMI!), but no leakage! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Mine have been leaky since about 16-18 weeks - I usually get stuff early, lol, I seem to be made like that. I wouldn't worry too much though, I've read that size isn't an indication as to whether you'll get alot of milk or not so I don't think whether they're leaky or not will be either. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Mine don't leak, and I fed fine with my first son. If you give you nip a bit of a squeeze.. from behind the areola, you will probably get a bit come out. Don't worry, the signal isnt really there til you've had bubs. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | My boobs leak when I'm sleeping or if I squeeze them. And even then, not much. I read it doesn't matter if they leak before giving birth, that a lot of women don't experience it until the baby is born and that they can still breastfeed. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | i wouldn't have thought it would effect breastfeeding in future, if anything it might just be slightly slower. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Some women do not leak at all. I never did during my first two and with this one I had one very, very minor leak.
Just because one doesn't leak, doesn't mean they don't work. I've had no trouble breastfeeding any of my babies. |
