Pregnancy - Third Trimester

Hey,

Just a quick question as im a bit concerned lol

Ive had 2 growth scans to date and have another at 36 weeks and then i may have to have another because he is a skinny mini

At my last one i got told rough weight of 3lb 1 but they never even attempted to give me a predicted weight they just said i needed another scan at 36 weeks to make sure he gaining enough weight etc.

They told me baba's have big growth spurts in the last weeks so i shouldnt worry to much cause he measuring fine just skinny

so im not concerned and just carried on buying things as normal....

Well my question is....did you get a predicted weight (the weight he/she would be when born) at your growth scan and if so how many weeks were you??

Just Hotsexymum has been given a predicted weight at her growth scan at 34weeks....yet they've not even attempted to predict mine. Just wondering if this is normal for me not to be given one?? Did you all get a weight guess so early???

i just didnt think they would so early....esp an exact weight.....so early....is it just my hospital that isnt doing this???

Sorry im nosey....i just feel like i should know mine.......

you may find out at your next one ? have you had a look on your scan reports ????

I havent (obviously) been predicted one, but i'm going to ask them when i get a scan on Monday

might be able to tell me

Did you ask them? You'll def get one next time, but i guess if they arent telling you they must expect baby to be around normal?

Well he's a skinny mini but they said that in the next weeks they will just monitor him but the never even attempted to predict it.....they just told me what he was now. and told me baby's have big growth spurts in the last few weeks.....thats why i cant understand how you would get a predicted weight so early.....Sorry im just really confused....

you may find out at your next one ? have you had a look on your scan reports ????

yeah on my reports it just said estitmated weight at time of scan....nothing to do with predicted.....thats why i have more scans because they cant predict if he'll gain weight or not...

Hey laura see you at the bottom did they give you a predicted weight when you had your scan in hospital?? XxX

Em when i had my scan when i was in hospital i was 29 weeks & they say she was 3lb 8oz and she should put '1/2lb a week' on for the rest of the pregancy so i was looking at 3lb 8oz + 5lb 8oz so approx 9lb but since then other people have said this isn't always accurate.

Thanks hunni, but did they say to you she will be something lb's?? lol just wondering if i need to call my midwife

or did they say baby's grow at 1/2lb a week
