well i thought i got rid of her .......

yeah i thought i got rid of the MIL until baby arrived but she called this afternoon and asked if she could come down tomorrow and stay until sunday.
so she put me on the spot really but i said yes.

im being induced on thursday so dont really need to see her until baby is here.

she now knows that she isnt coming to the hospital with me.
and i thought that time baby has come and i might be out of hospital friday afternoon or even saturday if im lucky so dont have to put up with her for too long.

ill just have to take it with a pinch of salt.

wish me luck. x x x

I feel for you, I really do!

Why do people do that - don't they realise your about to give birth! How would they have liked it if it were them.

I've only recently got rid of my MIL, I had to give OH an ultimatum, get her return flights booked or I'm staying at friends house until she goes, whether baby comes or not!

Yep, they like first time mums to stay in 1-2 days unless you wish to go home. All else fails, just say you don't feel well.

Tell her to wazz off! I would

Just stay in hospital until sunday and you'll be fine, get your OH to come straight there and pick you up as soon as she goes out the door.. Really sorry to hear about this though, it would drive me mad.

Good luck! I hope you get this sorted and doesn't cause you too much stress with the induction coming up...

Maybe have OH talk to her as well... It's his mother but it's also his baby and he may want to take time to bond and have time with you and the LO as a new family and not have to entertain and be split between trying to balance his time as well as getting used to the new addition...

Hope it goes okay though!

OMG i would totally cry i've banned everyone from visiting until i'm ready told EVERYONE that i will see them when i'm ready and even then they are only allowed to come up for a cup of tea and i will only let them hold the baby if i'm ready and if they dont like it not to come. Do you think i've been really mean??
