back from hospital

i called hospital at about 9 ish to tell them i think my waters had broke and she said to me on the phone ill have to go get checked out but no need to rush coz they were really busy.
so hubby cme home from work and we left for the at about 10.30.

when we got there one of the midwives moaned coz the midwife i spoke to one the phone had put down that she asked me to call them back later (which she didnt, just said come up when i was ready)

the midwife that was moaning at us took us to a spare room, she checked my blood pressure but she really hurt me. she pumped the thing that goes round your arm and it was really tight my fingers went a slight blue colour and got pins and needles in them, then when she took the thing off my arm it hd marke d it,hubby goes to me when we got back in car,did it hurt and i said yeah it bloody did.

so that annoyed me.
then she done an internal but said my waters hadnt broke.
then she goes on to say that i shouldnt really of gone in as i wasnt getting any contractions and that once your waters break they give you 48 hours before they will start you off (which is thursday and my induction is booked for then) i thought it was 24 hours after your wters break that they need to start you off.

so again that annoyed me that my waters hadnt broke and that she said i shouldnt of gone in.

then they are refurbishing the delivery suit, which i knew about it but i wasnt expecting it to be like that.
there were work men everywhere, all building stuff in the corridor of the delivery suit and to top it off in the room i was in the door opened inwards so when midwife was in and out you the people in the corridor could see straight in at me laying on the bed. why they dont make the door open inwards but the other way so the people in the corridor can only see the wall ,i do not know.

so yeah my waters hadnt broke, which is fine but everything else pissed me off and now im fed up and abit pee'd off.

x x

Sorry to hear you got such a nasty MW I was told to go straight in when my waters broke because of the risk of infection.

sorry to hear of your horrible MW. surely part of their job is reassuring us. You hear so many conflicting pieces of advice about pregnancy and when to go in etc that they should understand. I'm p'eed off for you!!!

it doesn't fill you with confidence does it which is exactly what it should be doing at this stage!! Rant over!
