family heirloom moses basket!!!!

I think I've offended MIL! She has a moses bsket/bassinette type thing that all of the babies in their family have been in - allegedly which has said we can have. It was made for my OH birth 40 years ago! Being diplomatic we accepted but also secretly asked my sis to buy a moses bsket which goes with our nursery!!! we cracked on she didn't know about the crib!! the prob is the crib is wicker and huge and I can't find any bedding/liner to fit it. Any body know where I can find liners etc? I've at least go to show willing to use it.
when she saw Moses bsket from sis MIL went very quiet and has told OH we don't need to have hers if we don't want it - how guilty do i feel now????
MIl is lovely woman and so supportive. any ideas?

Oops! I'm sure that once you've put some bedding on it, she'll get over it. Enjoy having 2 moses baskets though - what a spoilt little one already!!!

I agree, one upstairs and one downstairs could be handy. Saves carrying them around.

I can't suggest where to get bedding, maybe you could ask her. But even after 40 years, I'm sure it's perfectly fine to use, but I understand you want new for your baby and to feel that it's 100% safe.

Thanks girls! I wish i could post a photo of it! It's huge. My OH jokes he could still get in it! Also the last person to have it has cut the handles off!!!! OH said we could 'staple' sheets to it!! He's in for a very steep learning curve. thanks for comments.

This place on ebay makes mattresses to the exact size you want. Then you can always use a flat sheet for it. I would have thought you could use any bedding you want then
