It's stressing me...

I am feeling a little stressed. OH is currently decorating our bedroom, so all the furniture that was in there is piled up in the room that will be our nursery, and in the other spare bedroom which we are also sleeping in at the moment. There is no room anywhere, the place is a tip and I keep tripping over things. It is taking FOREVER for him to wallpaper the room (I did suggest we got someone in to decorate, but he wasn't having any of it). He took last week off work to do the room, and now it's nearly 4pm on Sunday and there are about 2 strips of paper on the wall. Then we need to get the carpet people in, then we need to get our new furniture, do all the woodwork on the stairs and landing for the new carpet we've ordered for there, and all that before we can even start on the nursery!

Everything just seems to take soooooo long, my whole house looks like a bomb site and I am not allowed to help, I've just got to sit and look at it, or go out!

Sorry! I just want to get nesting!!!

Hope that it is done for you soon!

OMG !! It's like reading a thread that I've written myself. Hubby did the bedroom 2 weeks ago, and I helped him wallpaper, coz he has no patience for fiddly things like that. Now he's doing the woodwork for when the carpet gets laid on the stairs and landing !!!

When I get stressed with all the tools and stuff everywhere, I just go out... even if it's just to Sainsburys...

It'll all come together really quickly, it normally does

I know how your feeling its awful isnt it seeing all the mess. My Oh is in the kitchen now laying down the new flooring so the kitchen is a tip and theres tools everywhere. We was ment to be finishing the plastering in the bedroom so we could paint and order the carpet today that job seems to have been forgotten about all together its really stressing me so ive decided to switch off from it all for abit and watch pingu with my lil man lol. It does all come together in the end thats wot i keep telling myself.

Yeah, I suppose there is no point getting stressed about it is there! If I complain, my DH just says that he won't do any more home improvements if I keep moaning about the mess!

I think it is the total lack of control that gets to me the most - if only I knew how to do it myself and was allowed to. Hope yours gets finished soon too!

I feel for you! I hate the mess of redecorating. I've had the boxes of the baby's room furniture in the living for two weeks but hubby put the last one together today. So now it's taking the garbage away.

We had the living room and the baby's room re-wallpapered but I put my foot down and told him to hire someone. Luckily he doesn't like wallpapering so it didn't take much convincing. If I'd left it to him, it probably still wouldn't be done or his poor parents would have come and done/finished it.

As it was the professional guy was done in a day for the two rooms

Good luck and I hope it goes quicker soon!!

I'm hoping it all sorts itself out in the end....little fairys come and do all the work at night while I'm sleeping!

I feel for you!
I haven't done almost anything and I'm under such pressure!

I agree with Ann-Marie,I simply go out for some coffee or soda, just for a few relaxing hours. It makes me feel much better!

Awwww.

My mum is gutting my house, taking all bits I don't need to the dump. Only shes left it until I'm 38 weeks to do it, so I can't do much to help and she is moaning about it each bit of the blooming way!!!
