How i have changed!!

popped out today to get some bits and pieces for hospital bag - £50 later i think i am done, however just wanted to say i have realised today how i have changed.

i own a floor to ceiling wardrobe full of everything you can imagine. i have 3 shevles for handbags, 4 for shoes, 1 for hats - you know the typical girl.

it has just hit me that i have been out shopping - as always and have not brought many things like that for ages (ok 2 handbags in past 2 months but that is it) everything is for baby. i found myslef just wanting to buy stuff for baby. i really have chagned and dont really go out with the same mind frame as before, and better still this was not a concious shift, just natural.

guess we are already turning into mummies putting bumps first!!! arhh

Just made me ask myself when was the last time I actually bought something for myself that I didn't need... and I can't remember.

You automatically put your baby before yourself without thought. (Well some mothers don't, but we don't go into that.)

You're a mommy now hun, you get enough rewards from your baby that you don't need items.

The first smile, the first giggle, the first "I love you" and then...

The first nappy where you think "Oh my god this isn't what I signed up for".

I was exactly the same before, always buying things for myself and handbags...i'd have a new one every few weeks! Since Bella was born i think i've used a handbag 3 times and that was when i went out without her as its just easier to put everything in the changing bag so no more handbag obsession for me!! It really does switch round to LO as now i can't go anywhere without going to the baby dept. but can totally take or leave the stuff for me!

I found it was more a thrill buying for my little ones than it was for buying for me. It's called you being unselfish and being a good mom.
