I don't know yet, my gp made me come off the pill just over a year before we started ttc because of my high bp so i wont be able to go back on it. We used condoms untill we did ttc and had no problems as such (no accidents, not that it would have mattered at that point) but my OH has some issues with condoms and it kinda made things a bit awkward. So i need to find something else, but ive suffered with heavy, painful and irregular periods so ive heard one type of coil wouldnt be any good because of this. Im going to have to go to the fpc and see if they know more then my gp (he's not that up to date with contraception).

Its going to have to be long term and reliable, im quite nervous about it to be honest.

I definitely need to talk to my doctor about this, as we definitely aren't ready for any more in the near future. I used to be on the pill, but well, I was "on" the pill when I got into this situation so we are probably going to have to look at other alternatives...

I'm going to go with the mini-pill so I can still breastfeed, but I'm askign for Cerazette as it has a longer window. I had Depo before, it made me lactate and took a year for my period to come back and I'm scared of having a coil fitted.

Have you taken Cerazette before? It doesn't suit everyone and definitely didn't suit me. Came off it after just three weeks.

Are you allergic to latex in condoms? because i have a rubber allergy-so includes latex. We use the non latex ones such as durext avanti (get free from fpc).
