I'm planning to bottle feed my LO but i'm considering giving her first feed from my breast.

Will it be ok to do that? I really don't want to breast feed but think it would be nice for that first feed

Yes it's ok to do that. I think midwifes encourage it, so that baby gets the first milk.

lol no1 going to think ur being mean its up to u 100% how u feed ur little one, i read somewhere that docs like to encourage u to give ur babs their 1st feed by breast even if u plan to bottle feed after yet if u choose not to do this they dont pressure u, as i sed its ur choice at the end of day!! uve got to feel comfortable to. xxx

A friend of mine did that, I think she did about 3 breast feeds when she was in hospital, so baby got the colostrum and then went onto formula once at home and her baby is the picture of health, and really contented. She has been sleeping through the night pretty much from the start!

You wont be teasing your baby, no worries. The only thing on the babies mind when they are hungry is getting something to satisfy the urge.

So that is fine.

Go for it!
You won't be teasing her...later on you just see how you feel and so what you find best and most comfortable!
