Sharp Stabbing Pains In My Cervix....

Man !!! Do they hurt or what !!!!!

I had them with Ethan, but only in the last couple of weeks.

What do you think causes them ??

I know Mia is flexed breech, so her feet are down there... but Ethan wasn't breech...

It really does feel like something is going to jab out of my doodah !!

And I can feel her head right under my ribs now... really pushing up when I get the jabs...

Heya hun. There seem to be a number of resons given for it but i think one of the main ones that I've heard (or seen ladies on this forum get) is usually its just your cervix preparing for the next few weeks to come. Thats the one I got from my gyno at last visit.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help! x

So it could be my cervix doing something itself, as opposed to baby doing something?

Ya, could be your cervix getting ready for when Mia is coming Sounds like she is getting ready too, having a good stretch haha. Lucky you, your only a few weeks away now

Yep. I do know that one of the ladies here has a breech LO whose legs firmly in the pelvic area though. And this is causin quiet an large amount of discomfort.

But my LO is getting ready to engage (im just a lil over 33 weeks) and Im experiecing fairly sharp cervical pains from time to time. But if you are unsure maybe mention it to your midwife....worst thing that can come from it would be your own piece of mind.

x

My midwife is probably sick of the sight of me .... no .. seriously !!!

I have my 34 week appointment a week Monday, so I'll ask her then.

I just had a couple of really intense stabs when she moved... and then felt something trickle down there... and when i went to the loo, I've had loads of creamy watery discharge I'm really sorry about the TMI, but that was weird !!

Maybe one has nothing to do with the other? You don't think it's your show do you?

Cause I agree with the girls above, you being so close and all may be the reason your cervix is preparing for the deal, hence the stabbing pains.Plus she is breech.

Now I know that you see your midwife so often that in some cultures you two would be married, but if it worries you you could give her a call?
If not too much, just wait till Monday and them mention it.

Amy, you're a Gem !!

It's not my show, it's not snotty or bloody.. just regular discharge ( if there's such thing.. eeeeugh ). I'm just a worrier.. you know me.

Hubby has just told me i need to go to sleep, coz it's the only time I'm not thinking about what to worry about next !!!! Don't like it when he's right... especially if he knows it !!
