I went to see my midwife yesterday for my 28 week appointment,

She measured me... then measured me again... then went to get another midwife to measure me...

They both measured my baby at 32 weeks!!

There is no way they could have my dates wrong as I have had 3 scans & all have given due dates within days of each other.

My bump is big & there are 4 other girls in my department all pregnant (must have been something in the water) & they aren't as big as me.. my bump is all up the front & low down, but 32 weeks!!!

Does anyone know what will happen if baby keeps growing at this rate? Will they induce me early?

My baby measured 4 weeks in advance too and my waters broke 11/12 days early. xXx

My friend was measuring 33 weeks at 28 weeks and she's caught up with herself now.

I think if you carry on measuring a month over dates, they will give you another scan. This is what happened to one of my friends - she was 35 weeks but measuring close to 40. Sometimes, your fundal height measures above/below dates but when they scan you the baby is measuring fine (exactly what happened to my friend).

After the scan, if the baby is still measuring a lot bigger than dates, I think they do sometimes induce women early - but like Nikki said, sometimes big babies come a bit earlier. I don't think they would induce earlier than 37 weeks.

i woudlnt worry too much if they get worried they will put you forward to a growthing scan!!

Measuring the way they do can be inaccurate and many factors can affect it such as babys position.... baby may not be big at all!!

Also baby may just have had a little growth spurt!!!

I'm in a similar position, as my uterus is measuring approx 5 weeks ahead!! However I do have quite bad water retention, which could have something to do with it, and the consultant said that just cos the uterus measures big, it doesn't always mean that bubs will be big. I'm having extra growth scans at 30 and 34 weeks just to monitor bubs, which I don't mind as it gives me extra chances to see my little baby!

Yeah many factors go into these measures,like the baby's position for example.

I wouldn't worry,if they seriously thought something was off they would've booked you a scan.
You'll probably catch up later.

It may even out in the next few weeks I am now measuring at 29 + and only 27 weeks tomorrow!! I hope she's not gonna be a big girl too!!

I was measuring 24 weeks at 13 weeks if it makes you feel any better. I'm slowly starting to catch up,now that I'm actually almost 24 weeks.
